Today's Lesson: The Spoken Word
THE ABCs of FAITH 31
How To Turn Your Faith Loose, part 4
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:23)
We are discussing the power of words and how to turn your faith loose. A story that impacted me greatly in this area was the one Kenneth E. Hagin has told about man who was living in the deep south, in the thick woods near the swamps. Here is my version of the story; "One day while a man was walking near the swamps through the deep fog, he heard a bobcat just going plain wild because he was tangled up with a man who had been walking through the woods. The man that saw the fellow wrestling with the bobcat yelled out and asked, brother do you want me to help you hold him? The man who was entangled with the animal said; No, No, No! I don't want you to help me hold him, I want someone to help me turn him loose." Well in these teachings I want to help you to turn your faith loose.
THE SPOKEN WORD
Faith is released by words. I said yesterday that confession of the Word is spiritual law. It is actually a scientific application of the Wisdom of God to the psychological make-up of man. We must learn to live in the authority of the Word. Faith, God's creative power is produced by hearing the Word in our heart, it is then formed by the tongue and released through words. You turn your faith loose by speaking words. Speaking the Word will bring to pass what you desire. In most cases long prayers are not necessary when you learn to live in the authority of the spoken Word. The power of God has been given to us in word form.
Hebrews 4:12 (Amplified Bible)
12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; ...
Faith comes by hearing and it is released by speaking! For faith to be effective you must speak your faith. Jesus spoke in faith while He was on earth and it worked for Him, and the same Word will work for you now as you speak it with your mouth.
AMERICA'S BELIEVER HAS A TALKING PROBLEM
1 Timothy 1: 5 From the NIV says, The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6 Some have wandered away from these and turned to meaningless talk.
We have a Word crisis in America! It is not a financial crisis but a spoken word crisis. We have a crisis of MEANINGLESS TALK. Just go to your local coffee shop and have a cup of coffee and listen to the chatter that is going on. This is happening all over our nation. Many believers have gotten caught up into speaking the words of the enemy particularly in the areas of politics and the economy. We need to watch what we say about the political leadership of our country whether we agree with them or not.
1 Timothy 2 (New International Version) says, 1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone- 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
We are to pray for those in authority in our nation, so that we may prosper and live quiet and peaceful lives. Every time I hear a pastor or preacher giving his political views it makes me want to pray for our nation. What good does it do to go to a nice Church service with all of the bells and whistles of modern technology and return home only to speak the words of the enemy. There is a false prosperity that has been released by the enemy and deceived the Church in America. We must rise up and have power and dominion over the works of evil in our country by the power of the spoken word. We must once again confess the favor of God over our personal lives, our families, our churches and our nation. If enough of us will do that we will change the course of our nation and enjoy abundant prosperity until the Church is taken away and the world is left behind. God bless America!
Confess this now;
The favor of God is restoring everything that the enemy has stolen from me and this nation. The favor of God is giving me, my family and my nation honor in the midst of our adversaries. (Exodus 11:3)
Live well, Live blessed,
Bernard
Author's note:
These lessons are written "daily" like as the fresh manna fell daily in Israel. No left-overs for God's people! What an honor to be able to share with God's people. PLEASE, excuse me if there is an occasional typo. The fresh nature of the newsletter does not allow time for me to have them proof-read. The time is short!
